Sara Young pitched a three-hit shutout to give the Witches (6-7) a big Class A North win over the Red Eddies (9-4) in Brewer.
Young struck out six batters and walked one. Brewer seized control with a three-run third inning. Audrey Loupin led the offensive attack with three hits and an RBI, while Deliah Gobeil drove in two runs.
Edward Little pitcher Chloe LeBlanc fanned 10 and scattered nine hits. Elizabeth Galway had two of the Red Eddies’ three hits.
