Eliza Thorne opened the scoring in the first quarter and set up a clinching goal by Olivia Towne in the fourth quarter as Raiders topped the Knights in an opener at Fryeburg.
Towne assisted on Thorne’s goal nine minutes into the game. Grace Merley’s unassisted goal in the second quarter made it 2-0.
Sydney Lancombe scored an unassisted goal for Poland late in the first half.
Fryeburg goalie Rayna Wales made 10 saves. Addison Michaud stopped 12 shots for Poland.
