Renee Gonneville, Kayleigh Corriveau, Jessica Dow and Elle Jowett scored as the sixth-seed Trojans (10-4-1) beat the 11th-seeded Knights (5-10) in a Class A South prelim in Saco.
Hadley Stoddard added three assists for Thornton, which advances to the quarterfinals Tuesday against No. 3 Windham.
Gonneville and Corriveau connected in a 90-second span late in the first half. Dow made it 3-0 just 3:53 into the second half, and Jowett got the final goal nine minutes later.
