Emily Woods factored into all five goals in the second half as the Cougars (4-1) pulled away from the Seahawks (1-6) in Dixfield.
Grace Averill opened the scoring in the first quarter, with an assist from Nicole Turnbull. That 1-0 lead stood at halftime.
Averill scored again early in the third quarter, with Woods assisting. Woods later scored from Lana Waite, then assisted on Diana Cayer’s goal to put Dirigo up 4-0 after three quarters. Woods scored twice in the fourth, with Turnbull providing the assist on the Cougars’ final goal.
Keira Kelley made one save to secure the shutout, and Cass Amaral stopped eight shots in net for Boothbay.
