Annie Vigue opened the scoring just 1:08 into the contest, Sophia Monfa added a goal early in the second half, and the Stags (4-2-1) shut out the previously undefeated Spartans (4-1) in Portland.
Monfa also assisted on Vigue’s goal, and Sofia Pothier got an assist on Monfa’s goal.
Evelyn Rush earned the shutout with five saves. Sanford’s Sophie Olivo stopped 11 shots.
