GORHAM AT BIDDEFORD

Kelly O’Guinn caught a short touchdown pass in the first quarter and ran for the eventual winning TD late in the third quarter as Biddeford earned its first win of the season, beating Gorham 21-14 in a Class B South game Friday night at Biddeford’s Waterhouse Field.
A 4-yard pass from Travis Edgerton to O’Guinn accounted for the only touchdown in the first half as Biddeford (1-2) went to the break with a 7-0 lead.
Edgerton extended the lead with a 9-yard run early in the third quarter. Gorham (0-3) answered with a long drive that ended with a 5-yard run by Camden Martell, but then O’Guinn’s 1-yard plunge made it 21-6.
Gorham quarterback Garrett Poulin scored the final TD on a 3-yard run with about 2 minute remaining. Biddeford was able to run out the clock from there.
