WESTBROOK AT GORHAM

Garrett Poulin ran for two touchdowns and tossed three scoring passes during a dominant first half for Gorham, which earned its first victory of the season, 47-7 over Westbrook, in a Class B South football game Friday night in Gorham.
The Rams took control early, added by a sack and forced fumble that gave then possession deep in Westbrook territory. Casey Skolfield opened the scoring with a 6-yard run.
Gorham then pulled off a successful onside kick, and Poulin capped the ensuing drive with a 10-yard run.
Poulin connected with Camden Martell for a 23-yard TD pass late in the first quarter to make it 20-0. In the second quarter, Poulin had TD passes of 30 yards to Colton Jewett and 3 yards to Atticus Whitten.
Poulin then bulled in from the 3 in the fourth quarter.
Westbrook avoided a shutout when Giovanni Staples scrambled around under pressure and found Peter Wescott for a 35-yard touchdown catch. Gorham’s Jack Karlonas returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards.
