Tavian Lauture had two touchdown runs and passed for another TD, Joey Foley rush for over 170 yards and two touchdowns, and Deering (6-1) rolled past visiting Gorham (2-5) at Memorial Field.
Lauture had two long runs on the Rams’ opening drive, culminating in a 29-yard TD run after a 42-yard gain earlier. In the second quarter, Lauture added a 1-yard touchdown run that was a set up by his 29-yard pass to Elijah Stewart. Later, Lauture threw a 10-yard TD pass to a wide-open Zade Smith.
Foley scored from the 4 in the first quarter for a 13-6 lead. After gaining over 50 yards on the opening drive of the third quarter, his 9-yard rush made it 41-6.
Zade Newhall added a 3-yard TD run for Deering, which recovered a fumble and an onside kick.
Quarterback Garrett Poulin connected with Jack Karlonas on a 49-yard scoring pass in the first quarter for Gorham.
