Jake Dening’s penalty kick in the second overtime lifted the Hornets over the Eagles in Turner.
Dening’s PK goal, which came with two minutes left in the second OT, was the result of Serogzha Bezhenar being taken down in the 18-yard box.
Bezhenar scored Leavitt’s (2-6) first goal, and Tyler Mates added two for the Hornets, one late in the first half and the other midway through the second half. Bezhenar and Jacob Gibbs had assists for Leavitt, and goalies Alex Corey and Vanya Bezhenar each made six saves.
Will Adamson, Chase Larabee and Dominic Braun netted goals for Erskine (3-5), while goalie Parker Studholme stopped nine shots.
