Mikayla Anderson scored 13 of her 24 points in the first quarter to help the top-seeded Minutemen (14-3) to an early lead on the way to a Class C North quarterfinal victory over the eight-seeded Tigers (11-7) in Bangor.

Anderson made three 3-pointers in the first quarter, when Stearns built a 23-2 lead. She added 11 points in the third quarter as the Minutemen stretched their advantage to 54-15 with a 22-5 run.

Alisyn Alley added 10 points for Stearns.

Rachel Colby led Sumner with 10 points.
