Emma Travis, Nola Gorneau and Marina Bassett were the goal scorers as the eighth-seeded Red Riots (8-5-2) topped the ninth-seeded Knights (6-8-1) in a Class A South prelim in South Portland.
Maci Rauscher was credited with an assist, and Amelia Burton-Fowler need to make just one save for South Portland, with advances top play top-seeded Scarborough in the quarterfinals at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
