The top-seeded Eagles (20-0) rode a 39-point performance by Chance Mercier to a Class B North semifinal win over the fourth-seeded Coyotes (17-3) in Bangor.
Mercier scored 25 points in the first half to help Ellsworth built a 33-17 lead, and the Eagles held on to advance to Saturday’s regional final against No. 3 Orono.
Miles Palmer added 10 points for the Eagles.
Braydon Brown paced Old Town with 19 points. Grayson Thibeault scored 16.
