Hudson Iacuessa pitched five scoreless innings and struck out 12 as the Red Riots beat the Rams in a season opener for both teams in South Portland.
Iacuessa also had a triple, while Brady Main and Corbin Voisine each had a double.
John Bechard had two singles for Deering.
