Spencer Chartier shut down the Witches, and the Blue Devils pulled away with a seven-run sixth inning in Brewer.
Chartier struck out 10 and limited Brewer to four hits and two runs. Lonnie Thomas tripled and was one of four Lewiston (1-1) batters to drive in two runs.
Jake Perry had two of the Witches’ four hits, and Logan Littlefield drove in both runs. Kaiden Morin started on the mound for Brewer and struck out 13 over five innings.
