Four Monmouth Academy pitchers combined on a two-hitter as the Mustangs opened their season with a win over the Seahawks (0-2) in Boothbay Harbor.

Rory Shardlow, Rory Foyt, Jake Harmon and Levi Laverdiere shared pitching duties for the Mustangs. Foyt struck out three and didn’t allow a hit in 2 2/3 innings after Shardlow pitched the first 2 1/3 innings.

Bryce Fletcher scored three runs and drove in two to lead Monmouth’s offense. The Mustangs grabbed a 4-1 lead with three runs in the second inning, then broke the game open with a five-run fifth.
