Dane Cousineau’s RBI double broke an eighth-inning deadlock and gave the Cougars (2-1) a win over the Roadrunners (4-1) in Farmington.
Cameron Norton drove in two with a double in a three-run fifth inning for Mt. Blue. Jax Vienneau also doubled and Nolan Leso had a pair of singles. Vienneau pitched seven innings, striking out 10, walking two and giving up three runs and three hits.
Kaiden Longley drove in a run and Bryce Wilcox had two hits for Mt. Abram. Logan Dube pitched 4 1/3 innings, striking out nine, walking three and giving up three runs and three hits.
