Dane Cousineau had two hits and two RBI for the Cougars in a season-opening win over the Eagles (1-1) in Topsham.
Nolan Leso earned the win, allowing four runs (three earned) over six innings. Aiden Wilkins retired the final three batters for a save.
Caiden Chase had two of Mt. Ararat’s seven hits.
