Nolan Leso went the distance and allowed only two earned runs as the Cougars (3-1) beat the River Hawks (3-5) in Skowhegan.
Leso gave up six hits, struck out six and walked three.
Cameron Norton collected two hits for Mt. Blue. Dane Cousineau doubled and drove in a run, and Thomas Cormier also hit a double. George Decarplis and Gary Harkins each had an RBI.
Trevor Austin smacked three doubles and drove home two runs for Skowhegan. Grant Cram went six innings, allowing all five runs on eight hits and three walks.
