Trent Holst and Ryder Sawyer-Brown combined on a one-hitter as the Hornets (7-9) wrapped up their regular season with a win over the Warriors (10-6) in Turner.
Holst struck out six and walked six while holding Nokomis hitless through 5 2/3 innings. Sawyer-Brown fanned two and allowed one hit over the final 1 2/3 innings.
Sawyer-Brown also excelled at the plate with two hits, including a double, an RBI and a run scored. Randan Hutchinson also had two hits, drove in a run, and stole two bases. Nick Mellen drove in two runs on one hit, and Landon Marquis added a hit, an RBI and scored a run.
The Hornets pulled away with four runs in the fifth inning.
Caden Chretien got the only hit for Nokomis.
