Portland broke a 3-3 tie with three runs in the seventh inning to earn its first win of the season Thursday, pulling out a 6-3 victory at Cheverus in a Class A South baseball game.
Lucas Milliken was 3 for 3, and Connor Daniels and Tommy Chase each had two hits for the Bulldogs (1-10).
Bailey Jordan got the win with two scoreless innings in relief of Milliken. He also reached base three times, scored twice and drove in a run.
Reis Stamaris doubled and drove in two runs for Cheverus (2-10), which couldn’t take full advantage of nine Portland errors.
