Jayden Horton struck out eight batters and pitched a two-hitter in the Bulldogs’ (4-3) six-inning win over the Phoenix (1-6) in Madison.
Madison scored three runs in the first then ended the game with an eight-run bottom of the sixth inning. Owhen Van Gordon led the offense with two hits and three RBI. Xavier Estes also drove in three runs and Kamdyn Norton had two hits and two RBI for the Bulldogs.
Max Labonte and Cole Richards had Spruce Mountain’s only hits.
