OLD ORCHARD BEACH 7, ST. DOMINIC 6, 9 INNINGS
The Seagulls scored in the bottom of the ninth inning to win a season opener against the visiting Saints.
Old Orchard Beach was held to four hits but took advantage of nine walks. The Seagulls took a 6-3 lead with four runs in the fifth, but St. Dom’s answered with three runs in the sixth.
Trot Moody had two hits, two runs scored and an RBI for OOB, and Wes Gallant scored three runs. Aiden Hodgkins earned the win in relief, allowing just one hit while striking out five over the final 3 1/3 innings.
Finley Cavers and Ben Dumais led St. Dom’s with two hits apiece.
