Bryce Stacey hit a two-run double in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Sacopee Valley a 3-2 win over Waynflete/NYA in the first game of a doubleheader in Hiram.

Stacey also was the winning pitcher after two scoreless inning in relief of Keegan Thibodeau, who struck out eight and allowed just one hit through five innings.

Waynflete/NYA’s starting pitcher, Gus King, tossed five hitless innings.

The visitors earned a split by taking the second game, 5-4, despite Silas Nielsen’s two-run homer for Sacopee.
