Grace Carlista had four goals, while Maddie Howes added three to lift Scarborough to a season-opening win over Portland in a girls lacrosse game Friday in Scarborough.
Carlista also had five draw controls, including the 100th of her career. Howes also had five draw controls, while Nicole Morin had four. Hope Melevsky scored twice, while Hannah Vogell, Avery Larson, Lily Howes and Lily Geisser also scored for Scarborough. Charlotte Durgin added two assists and Fiona McDougal had four saves.
Sophie Knoll had four goals and four draw controls for Portland.
