Peyton Cleveland struck out seven and allowed only three hits and one run in 5 1/3 innings for the Vikings (8-3) in their big Class A North victory over the Rams (7-2) in Paris.
Oxford Hills scored five times in the second inning, highlighted by Attie Campbell’s two-run single. Cameron Mayhan and Kyeria Morse each doubled in the victory. Morse also had a single and drove in two runs.
Emma Tripp allowed only one earned run in six innings of work for Bangor. She struck out eight, allowed seven hits and walked three. She also had a tripled at the plate.
Kaylee Folsom was 2 for 2 with a double and a single for the Rams.
