Addison DeRoche struck out 17 while pitching her third no-hitter of the season, and Cheverus remained undefeated with a 5-2 win over Bonny Eagle in a Class A South softball game Wednesday in Portland.
Aided by two walks and a passed ball, Bonny Eagle scored twice in the top of the first inning. DeRoche allowed only one more walk the rest of the way.
Cheverus (13-0) tied it in the bottom of the first, then took the lead in the fourth with Anna Goodman drove in Hailey Lamontagne with a sacrifice fly.
Bonny Eagle pitchers Lily Regan and Reese Bryant held the Stags to just four hits, two by Bella Napolitano Aberle.
