Piper Larochelle pitched a three-hit shutout in the Falcons’ five-inning mercy-rule win over the Knights in Poland.
Larochelle also drove in two runs and scored one. Alison Brown finished with two RBI and two runs for Freeport (2-0), while Celia Cobb scored four runs and Isabella George three.
Phoebe Paradis, Olivia Rioux and Karlee Lothrop had one hit apiece for Poland (1-2).
