EDWARD LITTLE 20, HAMPDEN ACADEMY 10, 6 INNINGS
The Red Eddies (6-4) powered past the Broncos (6-4) in six innings a high-scoring Class A North contest in Auburn.
Edward Little seized control with nine runs in the bottom of the second inning, taking an 11-5 lead, then added five runs in the fourth and four in the sixth inning to end the game early via mercy rule.
Kylee Lebrun had two hits, including a double, and led the Eddies with four RBI. Lexi Kelsea had two hits and three RBI, and Allie Michaud (one RBI) and Emily Poulin also finished with two hits.
Cat Facchini double twice and drove in three runs for Hampden, which scored five runs in the second and five more in the third. Mariah Coon added two hits and two RBI, and Kiera Gabric had a pair of hits and drove in a run.
