Winning pitcher Hailey Turcotte drove in four runs, and Gabby Smith paced a 15-hit attack with five hits as the Hornets (2-0) defeated the Capers (0-2) in Cape Elizabeth.
Turcotte, Jordan Boulay and Ashlyn Holbrook all had two hits, and Brooke Boutaugh knocked in two runs for Leavitt.
Rylie McIntyre had a single and a double for Cape Elizabeth.
