The Patriots stymied the Knights’ seventh-inning rally by throwing out the potential tying run at the plate on a delayed steal to end the game in Gray.
Poland entered the final inning trailing 9-4 but plated four runs.
Madalyn Patrick had Gray-New Gloucester’s only hit, and she drove in two runs and scored two. The Patriots (3-2) drew eight walks and took advantage of five Poland (1-4) errors.
Olivia Rioux led the Knights’ offense with two hits and three RBI. Carly-Ann Jarvis also had a pair of hits.
