Aubrey Wood’s two-out RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning gave the Blue Devils (5-6) a walk-off win over the River Hawks (8-3) in Lewiston.

Lewiston rallied for three runs in the final frame. Ava Dionne, who also singled home a run in the bottom of the seventh, finished with team-highs of three hits, including a double, and three RBI. Wood had two hits, and Hailey Bellemare tripled for the Blue Devils.

Dionne also pitched a complete game, striking out nine, scattering eight hits and not issuing a walk while allowing four runs (two unearned) to earn the win.

Layla Clark tripled, doubled, drove in two runs and scored twice for Skowhegan, which is ranked sixth in the latest Varsity Maine poll. Lydia Jones and Abi Carey each had two hits, and Natalie Gilman hit a triple.

Carey struck out seven and walked five while allowing seven hits and five runs (three unearned) in 6 2/3 innings for the River Hawks.
