Sadie Soucy was 4 for 4 with three RBI, and winning pitcher Maegan Berry added three hits as the Red Riots (5-7) defeated the Red Storm (2-7) in Scarborough.
The top five batters in South Portland’s lineup combined for 13 hits and seven RBI. Rachel DiMauro, Jillian Edgar and Annie Soucy all had two hits. Edgar hit a double and drove in two runs.
Berry allowed only four hits and one earned run. She struck out nine and walked none.
Giuliana Giftos drove in a run for Scarborough.
