SOUTH PORTLAND 14, THORNTON ACADEMY 13
Annie Soucy drove in four, and South Portland (4-6) scored six runs in the seventh inning, then held off Thornton Academy (2-6) at Saco.
The Red Riots trailed 9-8 going into the seventh, then took a 14-9 lead and held on as Thornton scored four in the bottom of the seventh.
Theresa Eng hit two home runs and drove in six runs for the Trojans, who also scored six runs in the third.
