Madison Blanchard and Madisyn McLean hit RBI singles in the sixth inning to complete the Falcons’ (5-1) rally from a seven-run deficit to beat the Saints (3-2) in Rumford.
St. Dominic scored seven times in the second inning to take an 8-1 lead. Mountain Valley answered with three in the second, two in the third and single runs in the fourth and fifth to tie the game at 8-8. The Saints took the lead again in the sixth on an RBI by Sophia Franciose.
McLean had four hits, an RBI and scored twice for Mountain Valley. Layce Boucher added two hits, an RBI and a run, while Hayden Chase drove in three runs.
Franciose finished with three hits and three RBI for St. Dominic. Chloe Croteau added three hits and scored twice, and Leah Shannon had two hits.
