The Rebels (1-1) rode a nine-run fourth inning to victory over the Bobcats (0-2) in Richmond.
Taejyah Lego, Brenna Fraser, Claire Irons and Mya Buck drove in two runs apiece for Telstar. Lego had a team-high three hits, and leadoff hitter Cadie Campbell scored three runs. Pitcher Maylyn Hastings struck out six in five innings and Emma McPherson fanned three in two innings.
Brooke Fournier and Aubrey Swift led Richmond’s offense with two hits and two RBI each.
