LISBON 14, WINTHROP/MARANACOOK 1, 5 INNINGS

The Greyhounds (10-4) put the Rambling Bears (4-12) away with an 11-run bottom of the fourth inning, triggering the mercy rule in a five-inning victory in Lisbon.

Winthrop/Maranacook scored in the top of the first inning when leadoff hitter Ella Rice reached base and was driven home by Cyara Harriman. The Rambling Bears’ 1-0 lead held up until Lisbon plated three runs in the third.

Alivia Saunders led the Greyhounds’ offense with three hits, three RBI and three runs scored. Brynn Chase had three hits and two RBI, and Aubrianna Bright singled and knocked in two runs.

Lisbon pitchers Mackenzie Eaton (two strikeouts in four innings) and Ava Kottmann (one strikeout in one inning) combined on a two-hitter.

Rice had both of Winthrop/Maranacook’s hits, including a triple.
