Shannah Parsons struck out eight in a complete-game shutout, Rileigh Chase had three hits and four RBIs, and the Mustangs mercy-ruled the Rambling Bears in Monmouth.
Lily Palleschi and Lauren Burnham also had three hits for Monmouth (2-0) in the win. Parsons added two singles.
Camden Roy took the loss for Maranacook/Winthrop (1-2).
