Owen Cook made a save on a penalty kick in the final minute of regulation and Brennan Mitchell hammered in a corner kick by Chase Ross to lift the Roadrunners (11-3-2) past the Rangers (13-3-1) in a Class C South quarterfinal in Salem.

No. 2 Mt. Abram advances to play No. 1 Hall-Dale in the regional final at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Edward Little High School in Auburn.

Jack Kern scored early in the game to give Traip a 1-0 lead. Will Swain tied it for Mt. Abram about four minutes later, and the Roadrunners took the lead on goals by Killian Pillsbury and Mitchell. Kern scored again late in the first half and Tyzo Diallo tied it with eight minutes left in the second half.

Ovi Kern made five saves for Traip, while Cook had 12 saves for Mt. Abram.
