Paced by seven goals from Tadhg O’Donnell, the third-seeded Red Riots (11-4) edged the sixth-seeded Bulldogs (11-5) in a Class A quarterfinal in South Portland.

Ian House added four goals and an assist to help the Red Riots advance to a semifinal against No. 2 Thornton Academy. The game was close throughout, with South Portland holding a slim lead most of the way.

Andy Marvin put in seven goals and assist on two for Portland. Jonah Bryand and Howard Larsen both scored twice.
