Lucy Dubail and Winnie Dubail each drove in three runs, and the third-seeded Rams (14-3) scored five runs in the fifth inning to invoke the mercy rule against the sixth-seeded Golden Trojans (8-9) in a Class A South quarterfinal at Gorham.
Sawyer VonderHaar contributed a double and two singles. Bella McBrady, the winning pitcher, gave up four hits and two walks while striking out five.
Gorham advances to play second-seeded Windham on Saturday.
Allison Dattilo led Thornton with two hits.
