Angelina Pizzella launched two home runs, including a three-run shot in the sixth that ended the game, as the fifth-seeded Red Storm (12-4) advanced to the Class A South quarterfinals with a win over No. 12 Cheverus (4-12) in Scarborough.
AJ Swett also homered and Maddie Russo had two doubles. Natalie Moynihan pitched a two-hitter and contributed a triple and a single at the plate.
Olivia Bradford got both Cheverus hits.
