Libby Hooper and Delaney Whitten each had two goals and assist as top-seeded Cape Elizabeth/Waynflete/South Portland (12-2-2) defeated No. 8 Portland/Deering (2-15) in a South quarterfinal at Troubh Ice Arena.
The Capers broke open a tight game with a six-goal outburst in the second period. Marina Bassett and Katherine Blackburn each contributed a goal and two assists. Kierith Gentling and Catie Lee also scored for Cape.
Jane Flynn got both goals for Portland/Deering.
