A pair of long touchdown passes from Lonnie Thomas Jr. to Michael Caron elevated the Blue Devils (2-2) above the Rams (2-2) in a Class A North contest at Don Roux Field in Lewiston.

Bangor took a 14-7 lead on a 1-yard TD run by Parker Small with 47 seconds remaining in the third quarter. But Lewiston tied the game 23 seconds later on a 55-yard scoring strike from Thomas to Caron.

Caron and Thomas hooked up again in the fourth quarter, this time on a 51-yard pass play, to put the Blue Devils up 21-14 with 8:35 remaining in the game.

Caron finished with three catches for 114 yards and the two scores. He also made all three of his PATs. Thomas completed 7 of 12 passes for 160 yards.

Lewiston’s Jeffrey Randall scored the first touchdown of the game on a 3-yard run midway through the opening quarter. Randall finished with a team-high 64 yards rushing on 18 carries. Jayden Sands gained 41 yards on three rushes.

Joseph Dube carried the ball four times for 26 yards and caught two passes for 20 yards. He also had eight tackles on defense. Tafari Corson James had five tackles and two pass break-ups. Kenny Foss and Adam Benson also recorded five tackles apiece and each had one tackle for a loss.

Bangor’s first touchdown was a 1-yard run by Kyle Johnson and tied the game at 7-7 late in the first half.
