A 17-2 second-quarter run propelled South Portland to a 50-33 victory over Bonny Eagle in a Class AA game at South Portland.
Bonny Eagle (5-5) led 15-8 lead after one quarter, behind seven points from Terrell Edwards. But the Red Riots (9-2) surged ahead in the second quarter and extended their advantage to 39-28 after three quarters.
Jaelen Jackson paced South Portland with 17 points. Manny Hidalgo added 10 and Ben Smith had nine.
Edwards finished with a team-high eight points.
