Lincoln Smith’s walk-off single in the bottom of the eighth inning lifted the four-seed Flyers (13-4) over the 13-seed Gulls (5-12) in a C South first round matchup in Portland.
Smith finished with three hits for Waynflete/NYA, which advances to the C South quarterfinal on Thursday. Connor Wolverton also had three hits, including a home run.
Isaac LaChance tallied three hits for OOB.
