LEAVITT/GRAY-NG/OAK HILL/POLAND 5, CHEVERUS/YARMOUTH 2: Hunter Bussiere had a goal and an assist to lead the Kings (8-6) past Cheverus/Yarmouth (9-3-2) at Norway Savings Bank Arena in Auburn.

Nic Michaud gave the Kings an early 1-0 lead before Breck Langevin stretched it to 2-0 four minutes into the opening period. Luke Gladu and Talon Langevin got the assists.

Conner Boulay made a cut across the crease and beat Cheverus/Yarmouth goalie Neal McQuarrie (15 saves) with a backhander for a 3-0 advantage late in the first.

Hunter Bussiere extended the Kings’ lead to 4-0 midway through the second.

Cheverus/Yarmouth scored twice late in the second period to cut the deficit to 4-2. Truman Peters got an assist on Quinn McCoy’s goal, then scored on a breakaway.

Will Keach got an insurance goal in the third period.

Kade Knight made 11 saves for the Kings.
