Nola Boutaugh had three singles to pace the Hornets (1-1) past the Rams (0-1) in Turner.
Leavitt scored twice in the third and added a run in the fifth. Abby Albert pitched 5 1/3 innings and Haley Turcotte pitched the final 1 2/3 innings to earn the save.
Bri Madore pitched all seven innings for Cony and helped her own cause with a solo home run. Ram Kissoon had a triple. Cony scored in the fourth and sixth innings.
