Lauryn Wood struck out 12 and allowed three hits in the circle for the Ramblers (5-4) in the win against the Cougars (3-4) in Winthrop.
She had two hits at the plate. Haley Williams had two hits and four RBIs in the win. Ella Rice had three hits and Lydia Rice had two. Maddie Perkins had a triple.
Winthrop scored five runs in the bottom of the first, one in the second and fourth. They tacked on three more in the sixth.
Kallie Errington scored Dirigo’s only run in the top of the sixth.
