BANGOR 4, EDWARD LITTLE 3, 8 INNINGS
Cassie Ireland’s RBI single drove in Rae Barron for the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to give the Rams (1-0) a season-opening win over the Red Eddies (0-1) in Bangor.
Barron had a RBI single in the eighth to tie the game at 3-3.
Cassidy Richardson had two hits and a RBI for Bangor. Casey Carter went the distance in the circle, striking out nine and allowing three runs, nine hits and nine walks.
Erin Cowie and Amanda Raymond each had two hits for Edward Little. Cowie scored a run and Richardson had an RBI. Leah Thibodeau threw 11 strikeouts while allowing four runs and eight hits.
Edward Little went up 2-0 in the third inning when Thibodeau scored on a bases-loaded walk and Maddie Emmert had a sacrifice fly.
