BANGOR — Edward Little (2-5) had the ball on its own 18, but the Red Eddies fumbled in the red zone with 1:42 left in the game, allowing Bangor (1-6) to walk away with a 16-6 victory on Friday night.

It was Bangor’s first victory of the season.

In the second quarter Bangor quarterback Jack Schuck ran in a 6-yard touchdown and the extra point was good to put the Rams ahead 7-0 with 8:10 left in the first half. On the ensuing kickoff, EL’s Gavin Therriault almost muffed the kick, but he picked up the ball and ran in a 98-yard TD making it 7-6.

Two Bangor drives later Schuck found Connor Boone for a 24-yard touchdown. Boone’s catch in the right corner of the end zone was dazzling. Bangor went into halftime with a 14-6 lead.

Bangor forced an Edward Little safety thanks to Bangor’s Kaiden Dulac. The Rams now led 16-6 with 9:03 left in the game.
